Cushing’s major early presentation on pituitary in which he introduced terms “hypo” and “hyper-pituitarism” (excess secretion  acromegaly) (Fulton, 299-300). Cushing’s first (successful) surgical removal of part of anterior lobe of pituitary in a case of acromegaly (Fulton, 301-302).
