Establishment of the Committee on Provision for the Feeble-Minded to get the word out on the “menace of the feebleminded.” It only lasted until 1918, when Mental Hygiene Movement undercut its assumptions about relationship of feeble-mindedness to crime, social vice, etc. (Trent, 169-181).
