Abraham Flexner resigns (viz, forced out) from General Education Board of Rockefeller Foundation, following restructuring of Rockefeller philanthropies that terminated the GEB’s program in medical education and the humanities, leaving it responsible only for elementary, secondary, and black education and teacher training (Bonner 2, 208ff.).
