Nixon signs Educational Amendments Act, of which Title IX requires any institution receiving federal aid to adopt gender-neutral educational policies. The goal was for girls to get their fair share of athletic budgets; the results was a fall in the workplace and schools of sexual harassment litigation (Sealander, 316-317).
