China implements its one-child rule, followed in 2010 by Iron Fist Campaign, led to compulsory sterilization, over course of three months, of 10,000 women who had violated law by having more than one baby. Two-child law began in 2015 and three-child policy in 2021 (Rutherford, Intro).
