Fourteen years after loosing a hand, New Zealander Clint Hallan recipient of first-hand transplant in Lyon, with surgical team led by Michael Dubernaud. But he psychologically rejected the new right hand and had it amputated in 2001. In 2016, 18-year-old Indian woman received grafts of two new hands from 21-year-old male donor. In 2019, she reported that her new hands had since begun to exhibit female features (Chaddock, 251-252).
